Statement of Faith

THE TRINITY
The Bible clearly portrays there is only One God, and that He is eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is the sustainer, the giver of life. He created man to have fellowship with Him. After the fall of man, God called man back to Himself through the Son, Jesus Christ. The Son was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning. He became man's restoration to the Father by being born of a virgin birth and living a life of mankind, thus becoming both God and man. The Holy Spirit was released at the day of Pentecost to become man's teacher, and guide. He helps exhort, uplift and encourage the Believer.

THE BIBLE
We declare the Bible to be the perfect, inspired Word of God, and that its power is eternal. Though authored by humans, it was written under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6

PEOPLE
God created people in His image, to be like Him in character. Even though every person has tremendous potential for good, all have sinned and are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God. This attitude separates people from God and causes people to turn away from Him. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

SALVATION
Salvation is God's free gift to people, but it must be accepted. No one can ever make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins when one receive Jesus Christ into his/her life by faith. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12;14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1.

SAINTS
Every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ. No intermediary stands between the believer and Christ. With direct access comes the opportunity for any believer to read and interpret the Bible under the illumination of the Holy Spirit. Each believer is to use this privilege to minister to others in Christ's name. Every believer is a minister. 1 Timothy 2:5; John 14:6; Exodus 19:6, 23:22; 1 Peter 2:5; 2:9; Hebrews 4:16; 7:25

ETERNAL SECURITY
Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If one has been genuinely saved, one cannot "lose" it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security. John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25; 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5

ETERNITY
People are created to exist forever.  Mankind will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; 8:17-18; Re velation 20:15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9
